The protection of personal data is one of Webshop Gütesiegel's key priorities. We always collect, store and process personal data in line with the applicable data protection regulations.


Data collection and storage


You may visit our website without providing personal details. We solely store access data in server log files, such as the name of the requested file, the date and time data is retrieved, the volume of data transferred and the provider making the request, for example. These data shall be evaluated solely for the purposes of ensuring the failure-free operation of the website and improving our offering and do not enable us to infer your identity.
Data collection and use when you contact us or apply for membership
Application for membership is only offered to such persons acting in the context of exercising their commercial or freelance professional activity. Personal data are collected if you provide them to us voluntarily when you contact us or request our services. We use your data solely for the purposes of enabling us to provide you with the requested information or services, i.e. only the information and data are stored and processed which are absolutely necessary for responding to your enquiry or setting up the contractual relationship.
When you contact us or apply for membership you will be asked to provide us with specific personal data, such as your e-mail address, your name, address and the address of your online shop, for example. On each page you will be able to identify which details are required and which are voluntary. We need the data to respond to your enquiry or check your membership application. If a relationship based on membership has been established your data may be blocked for further processing after the handling of this contractual relationship has been completed and once the retention periods under tax and business law have lapsed the data may be deleted. If no membership agreement is concluded after you contact us your data shall be deleted from our customer database if this is what you wish to happen.
Use of data when you subscribe to the e-mail newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter we shall use the data needed for this purpose or the data you have provided separately to send you our e-mail newsletter on a regular basis. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time either by sending a message to the contact options described below or via the link provided for this purpose in the newsletter.
Feedback reminder by e-mail
For the purposes of quality management, after the agreement has been concluded customers may provide anonymous feedback on our services. With this in mind, after the agreement has been concluded we would like to send you an e-mail asking you to give us feedback. You are entitled to object to use via e-mail (through the contact options described below) or not to complete the customer feedback process.
